Let Paisley Flourish

Open doors day in Renfrewshire. First visit was to Robert Tannahill cottage, where we had an interesting talk about his life, he was known as the 'weaver poet'. The cottage is now home to the Paisley Burns Club.

Next we went to Martyrs and Sandyford Church, John Neilson Institute, Oakshaw Trinity Church where this stained glass window was taken. They had other windows that were also beautiful.

From there went to the Sma' Shot Cottage. Inside are the original looms. Next to the Abbey and lastly to Thomas Coats Memorial Church. The Paisley Photographic Society have a room downstairs and they had an exhibition of their work on display.

There are other places open tomorrow but will depend on whether the rain and gales forecast materialises whether we go or not.
