Grand Prismatic Spring

Well on our bus tour yesterday our driver told us that if you wanted to view this even when there are walk boards around this beautiful coloured hot spring it did not do justice to the shot unless we came up this hillside scrambling through the pine trees near fairy falls we made our way to the clearing on a very gravelly hillside which made it rather slippery and just hoping ther were no bears around so as you can surmise I'm still here to tell the tale and this was the view from the clearing of the Grand Prismatic Spring with the steam coming off the hot spring with all it's wonderful colours due to the mineral content from underground as you can see another fantastic day weather wise and I aint complaing as I'm working up a decent tan for a change anyhow this spring is 370ft wide and 121ft deep but you wouldn't want to fall in as it is boiling but very pretty to look at from this vantage point anyway movie for the day is "Hope Springs 2012" best viewed LARGE 2012"
