Sumo

I mentioned my small mountain school yesterday. Today was the annual intraschool sumo tournament there. The boys dress in traditional sumo garb, but were not too embarrassed about it. The girls just wore similar style belts over their gym clothes.

It was quite exciting, much more so than professional sumo tournaments in my opinion. The kids tried really hard and it was always fun and exciting when the younger or smaller kid won the match. I played official for a few rounds, but my job was just to watch incase there was a dispute over a call made.
