Homemade meal

Today was the first of (hopefully)many homemade meals. I recently started going to an elementary school with only 38 kids up in the mountain. My friends' family lies just across the street so they've invited me to their home every time I go to the school (once a fortnight). We helped the mom make dinner and ate it together. It was fun.

Today we made miso soup, hand rolled sushi (no fish), salad and chawan-mushi (a savory egg pudding). So delicious!

Next time we're making gyoza!
