Living in Manchester

Art in the park

backblipped

Jeff was not working tonight so we went out for our evening meal in Rusholme.
We went without children and grandchildren and it was a new experience for Jeff as he has never dined in Rusholme before.

When I was a student this area was well known for it's Pakistani/Bangaladeshi cuisine.

Now there are more Shisha bars and cafes and a large Lebanese and Syrian presence. In fact the Syrian community in Rusholme has been at the forefront of the aid campaign for their families and all Syrians caught up in the present crisis in their country.

This is one of the reasons I love Manchester so much. Practical multicultural action is how we roll and I LOVE it.

Back to the blip...................
The Whitworth Art Gallery is closing for some refurbishment.
This is part of the art in the park weekend that proceeded the closure.

Cool or what??
