Time To Say Goodbye

I think my son has found a new family and he will be very happy here, which makes my leaving tomorrow a little easier.

Had a relaxing day with our new friends Maggie and Gary. They have done so much for us while we have been here. They have picked us up, dropped us off, lent us a car, wined and dined us, taken us out, and shown us places we could have only ever dreamt about. I so hope they come to the UK and we can repay their kindness.

Tonight I hope to see Tom to say goodbye again. He will fly out to San Francisco in the morning before we start our journey home.

I'm happy that he has a strong team of friends around him. When they start their matches they huddle together say a few words and they end with a shout out of FAMILY and that is what they are, one big family.

What a fantastic opportunity for him and I'm blessed knowing he will be ok and looked after. This is what I came here for..to make sure he was settled..and I'm sure he is.

He has so much to look forward to. I hope he doesn't mess it up.

I also know that Maggie and Gary will look out for him. I couldn't wish for two nicer people to take care of my son while I'm so far away.

I guess I'll still cry tomorrow, but that's because not only am I leaving my son behind but I'm leaving people and a place I have become very fond of.... But I'll be back!
