Swings and Roundabouts

Not the great shopping experience we were all hoping for shopping for new school shoes and trainers this morning. Abandoned all non essential items on the shopping list and headed for home.

Afternoon of recovery that also seemed to involve the kids eating about 4 meals. Really, a growth spurt right after that shopping nightmare and arrival of much new uniform?!

Ending on a high with a lovely early evening park trip in the fading light.

Other news of the day is fitting of all bedrooms with black out blinds and shutters. Hopefully just in time for some good sleeping before the exhausting business of school begins. Though not before one more day of holiday and a bigger shopping trip so fingers crossed for those well rested children.
