Between fen and mountains

Poor lamb!

I spent the morning doing some admin and checking out how to get a Carte Vitale (the French health insurance) and the English/French double taxation treaty, trying to decide whether it would be best to be considered a French or British resident. I spoke to advisors in HMRC, the DWP and at the NHS overseas helpline as well. I studied an impenetrable document on Statutory Residence, one of the many produced by HMRC which require a degree in Law or Accountancy to follow. It just got more and more confusing, so much so that I decided gardening in the hot sun would be preferable.

Later in the day, I spotted these two sheep that were not in their field. On closer inspection, one of them had a box tied around its leg as a splint. I can only assume the other one was there to keep it company during its convalescence!
