Upstream

I crossed the river today on the way to the French conversation class and noticed that it has now become a gentle stream in contrast to the raging torrent it can be in winter and early spring when the meltwater rushes down. It is now a pleasant place to shelter from the heat; there is no sign yet of any cooler weather. No one is complaining!
