Nottingham Railway Station - £200
well you learn something new everyday....
the number of times i've walked into the Victoria Centre through this entrance on Mansfield Road, and never once did i realise that this tower is the remainder of Nottingham Victoria Railway Station which opened in 1900! now thinking back i remember getting the bus when i was younger from Vic Centre, and it pulling out of the back looking down over the old railway tunnel...Old Vic Centre
So rather than taking a pic of the current Nottingham Midland Station (currently covered in plastic as part of it's multi million pound facelift!), i chose to pick a bit of history, and i'm pleased i did.
so, for anyone interested, here's the link about both stations...Nottingham Railway Station
Day after Bank Holiday, and quite busy driving into Nottingham...surprisingly. when are schools back?!
a good day at work, not lots of us in the office this week, due to hols and sickness, but we managed to get through the day!
home, tea and then a nice long walk with Pete as the sun started to set....
