Next stop...Platform 9 3/4...with Liv
Bank Holiday Monday, and no rest for the wicked! an early alarm as off to London with Liv. First class seats and train from Langley Mill at 8.06am, and into St Pancras by 10.30am.
First stop was Camden Town. wow, never been here, and glad Mrs Fergusson recommended it. loved it, such a vibrant area, full of colour, life, noise, food smells, everything! plus the sun was shining, so it was even more special.
from there, i made an error of judgement by getting the tube to Notting Hill (along with a million other people....some carnival taking place....).
we didn't stop long, and then made our way to Little Venice..again recommended by Sara (via Pav), and again somewhere i'd never been. beautiful, quiet, tranquil, the opposite of Camden. From there we caught the river boat along the Regents Canal back to Camden Lock. time for food there, too much choice, mexican, chinese, american, indian, peruvian! i plumped for Thai and Japanese.
headed back to St Pancras then, and stopped at Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross on the way..queue was only 15 minutes long!
back then on the train, first class so nicely chilled. Another fab day with Liv, really enjoyed it again.
