High Pavement - Galleries of Justice - £300

awake and up at 6.30am on a Sunday.....a bank holiday weekend too!

a couple of cuppas and then off out for a walk with Pete. Very misty this morning and a nice cool breeze as we made our way up to the Woods on our familiar walk. The sloe bushes are looking very full, and i think i'll give it another couple of weeks before i'm down there with my carrier bags picking them!

back home just as the sun burns through the mist, looks like a nice sunday after all.

off into town today with mum for lunch at Browns, and beforehand a little mooch around town. wandered up to the Galleries of Justice to take this shot.

The Galleries of Justice Museum, also known as the Shire Hall, is an independent museum and a registered charity on High Pavement in the Lace Market area of Nottingham, England.

The courtrooms date back to the 14th century and the gaol dates back to at least 1449. The prisons are still there. There was also a working police station from 1905 to 1985, and the courts closed in 1986.

The museum is housed in what was once a Victorian courtroom, Gaol and Police station, and is therefore a historic site where an individual could be arrested, sentenced and executed.

off then for sunday lunch at Brown - bang on Roast Beef dinner, all the trimmings, roasts, mash, horserasdish....yum yum! Afterward, mum has a pud (sticky toffee - her fave), and also the cocktail of the day for £1...Mexican Expresso Martini!!!

Sunshine as we left town, and home for a nice afternoon, sitting outside enjoying the end of the summer and the last Bank holiday weekend until that 9 letter-word!....

Monopoly holiday tomorrow, as off down the smoke with Liv. Looking to visit Camden Lock, and Little Venice too. Enjoy the BHM!
