Mystery Crop

I noticed this crop on my bike ride today, and no idea what it was. As I was stopped taking the photo a lady walked along the lane with her two dogs, so I asked her if she knew. She didn’t, but as luck would have it she was the farmer’s wife, and she kindly snapped a photo and sent it to him, with an almost immediate response that it was his millet crop. What a wonderful and fortuitous combination of friendly folk and functioning technology!
