Sunset

Still coughing at night but did get some sleep.  Didn't feel up to walking.  Did put some laundry on the line which was rained on within 5 minutes.  Washing does dry well here with the breeze and sunshine.

In the afternoon Mr had friends visiting, none of whom I'm acquainted with.  He tried - not very hard - to put them off, saying I wasn't well.   I've had no energy to socialize with any conversation punctuation by coughing and spluttering.  Also didn't want to spread this nasty cold.  So I took two bottles of water,  phone, tablet and book and isolated myself in my bedroom with the hound.   

The hound wasn't happy hearing different voices in the house.  I had no idea if they liked dogs or could cope with a bouncy hound so kept him with me.

After about 45 minutes the house was silent.  Everyone had left.  I made a drink and sat in the sunny garden using my newly acquired reading sunglasses with the hound basking in the sunshine.  A few months on I will find the other pairs of reading sunglasses that are hiding.

Made a pasta sauce for tonight's and tomorrow's dinner.

As I hadn't seen the sea properly all day I decided to catch the sunset.  The evenings are beginning to get fresher by degrees.  Still lovely.

Hoping I can kick this cold away by tomorrow or at least the scratchy dry throat started it.
