Cut back

As soon as we stepped into the flat yesterday, G noticed the flame tree, which has been trimmed?? Hacked, more like it, to an inch of its life! This is what it looked like a few months ago. She also wanted me to blip it yesterday, but pictures from an aeroplane are far more interesting.

The morning got taken up with the a/c in my room being fixed. It was a bigger problem than I thought - all the gas had leaked out. Argh. At least it is working now and has brought the temperature in my room down from 30°C to a manageable 24°C. Phew.

The rest of the day has been spent in the flat with me doing the occasional useful things (like wiping the cases down so they can be put away). We should have gone out, but I've still got to connect the battery in the car, and happily, Carrefour delivered a grocery order which included a fresh fruit cake. :)))
