The desert
I finally had a (much-needed) lie-in today.
The morning was relaxed and it was good to attend an online service of Fellowship of the Emirates. The sermon was about work, which would have spoken to a lot of people. It was so practical.
I should have gone down and seen to the car either early morning or in the cool of the evening, but it didn't happen, so at 3:30 in the afternoon (the worst time), I reconnected the car battery and was thrilled to see it start up without any problems. G joined me, and we were soon on our way for a long drive, stopping to fill the tyre with petrol and get the tyre pressure checked first.
We drove to RAK but didn't stay long. We were soon heading back, stopping off at Wafi for dinner at Biella - a great way to finish the month and what has been a fantastic summer. September tomorrow, and it's back to work, school, whatever...
My blip is of the Shohadaa Road/E311 junction. We aren't often at this junction to turn right, so it was a great opportunity to stop and capture this unique plain. :))
(PS. And I have finally caught up with all my blips for the summer, including 20th August.)
