On Its Last Wing

Hubby and I spent the morning housecleaning our main level, he vacuumed and I dusted. Felt good to get that job finished before the weekend. I changed bed linens and did a load of laundry. Momma has wanted Orange scones like Panera. I used a new recipe and wish I’d just used my tried and true cream scones. The new ones, made with .5 c butter, large egg and .5 cup sour cream instead of just heavy whipping cream, simply were not as soft and fluffy. Parker, who stopped by this evening to bring us wings and spaghetti for the weekend, sampled one. He took home half of them so they must be edible. The sooner they are gone, the sooner I can make my recipe. Momma had company in the middle of the day. Mike and Cece were going to be in my blip but I completely forgot to take any pictures. Cece used to live in my childhood neighborhood. I have known Mike since we were kids. After they left, I made us a quick lunch. When I realized I had no blip, I went outside looking for possibilities. This poor butterfly was struggling. It could barely get off the ground. Sadly, my lawn is covered with butterfly pieces and parts. It is hard to believe we are at the beginning of another weekend. Wishing you an exciting weekend, a holiday on Monday in the US. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. "The butterfly is a flying flower. The flower is a tethered butterfly. - PONCE DENIS
