Had a very frustrating morning. Decided that today was the day to renew my passport. Having heard of various issues re diy photos I decided to bypass any problems and have it taken professionally. I walked round to Timpsons( had no idea they did that sort of thing) and a lovely man took my photo, checked via his (passport office) software that it was acceptable , and gave me four copies of the awful photo and the all important code for the online application. Got home, started the application and the photo was rejected ’It looks like you’re not looking at the camera’. I was looking straight at it! Went back to Timpsons and repeated the process. This time it was rejected as not enough contrast between the image and background. Back again to Timpsons- this time he took several and we chose what we thought was the best. Didn’t have time to try the application process again though as I was seeing Ni for lunch. We tried a new place - Fig and Olive. Very nice wraps and carrot cake. Walked back home and got the cats into their carriers ready for their checkup and claw clip. Had a bit of a wait there and then neither cat at all happy either having their claws clipped, so had to go ‘into the back’ and be wrapped in a towel for a 2 nurse job!
The promised rain didn’t materialise so I watered everything when I got home, had a snack and went to Bridge. A bit up and down this week- we finished fourth.
