John came at 8.30 to service the boiler. He’s a nice man and an excellent gas engineer but does like a chat! Once he’d gone I had another go at my passport application. Again not compliant. Went round to Ji’s to try on her computer- same result. We decided to try her taking a photo and the seventh attempt was successful. Phew! Very frustrating but got there in the end. Finished the application off and got back home just in time for a delivery (new lampshade for my bedroom) and then drive over to Dad’s. He was happy as the wood we ordered on Sunday had arrived and he was planning what to make. Took him to Aldi and just as we left G phoned to say they were leaving the hospital so we drove straight to the restaurant and met them there. Had a very nice late lunch. Talked mainly about C’s consultant appointment . She has had a different diagnosis- though probably no difference in treatment. They need time to digest everything though of course I googled it when I got home and it seems that the prognosis is likely to be worse than her previous diagnosis. No doubt they will get more information over the coming weeks/months.
Took Dad back home and then stopped at a PO on the way back to post my expired passport. Walked up to m and s when I got home and the forecast rain finally arrived- 3 days late and only a couple of heavy showers but it’s a start!
