There were SO many hummingbirds in the garden this morning when I went out to have my tea. I quickly abandoned the tea and grabbed a camera. I was hoping to get a shot of some of the hummers in the same frame but that's a hard shot to get due to their speed, so maybe another day. Meanwhile, while I was focusing on some birds in the phlox, I glanced over next to me and spotted this one (a hatch-year male) feeding on the firecracker flowers. His feathers are so fresh and beautiful - unlike the adults who are all pretty ratty right now as they are molting. Don't believe me? Look at the female in Extra.
Things are moving along as planned with the sale of mom and dad's condo and the closing is scheduled for a week from this Friday. Please keep the good thoughts, prayers and juju coming.
I had hoped to pick up the injectable Methotrexate today but the pharmacist said the insurance company denied it and now it's gone back to the physician to justify why I need injections rather than oral meds (as if anyone really wants to stick themselves when taking pills is so much easier???). Anyway, I'm sure it will get sorted out but for this week I'm doing my weekly dose orally.
I finished the final edits on the dog show pics and posted the Gallery. The Trial Secretary will have to send the link out, which should happen by the end of the week or over the weekend. Overall I was happy with the photos. I turned on "flicker reduction" to help offset the weirdness that happens with fluorescent lights and I think that helped a bit. And I am going to bump the EC even more next time for the black dogs.
Sunny and perfect today.
xoxo
