Need Basil?

...Come and get it!  I may have to learn how to make pesto! 

One thing about all this heat and the ridiculous amount of watering that had to go with it, my plants have responded as if they were living in a greenhouse! 

I take photos regularly of the garden-in-process to keep track of what is blooming when and to see what is growing and what isn't and what needs to be moved to perform better. (extras) 

Despite some of the plants thriving, many are not. Perhaps they do not like their new locations or their new neighbours, but I can see that they need new homes. There are also a lot of big empty spaces and I am feeling the need to get to a local nursery and find some perennials that will fill in some of those spots. I think I will be keeping Shawn busy until the snow flies! 

I had a lovely early morning coffee with my neighbour Diane in her  covered patio ..until Shawn came by to mow her lawn! He is also doing some work for her and she had forgotten he was coming. So there went the peace and quiet of an early Saturday morn. Thanks Shawn :((

PS: In the darker hours of early morn, I saw the coyote trotting down the street with a bunny in his mouth...Oh no...
