Maggie's Excellent Adventure
I figured that Maggie really needed a treat, so today I took her out onto the deck and let her sniff and explore for a while (extra), constantly guarding all exits of course, lest she see greener pastures and get away on me! I feel sad that she has to be an indoor cat, but in this environment, it is just too hazardous for her to be roaming the neighbourhood. She did enjoy her little outing but was quite content to come back in to the comfort of the sofa for her nap.
Meanwhile, the garden is still surviving the intense heat, but it has meant a lot of watering. I dread the water bill I shall soon receive...It wasn't the summer to do so much planting I guess, but then, who knew it would be this hot? And will future summers be any different?
Today's floral extra is to show that yes, I do have the occasional plant that is not a hydrangea and that is not white .
The good news of the day was a call back from the local hospital to give me the date for that 4-hour heart test my cardiologist requested. It is Tuesday morning! Well, that was quick. Only a two-week wait! I had not expected it be so soon! I am so glad that if all is well, I will be free to go north to the cottage for my next time slot! I had feared that the appointment would fall smack dab in the middle of that time period and once again, my cottage time would be disrupted.
PS.: A big thank you to all who encouraged me yesterday to get ruthless in my challenge of tossing out memorabilia! I needed a nudge and I am now motivated me to go back at it; I have already decided what I will toss out of what I kept! :))
