75x60 or 900x5?

If my calculations are correct, today marks the 4,500th daily posting without missing a day.

So how to mark it? My initial thought was to go to St Giles which is celebrating its 900th year and photograph it 5 times. One photo is in the extra. While there had been settlement here for millennia, Edinburgh became a Royal Burgh around that time.

The centre of the city was still buzzing and there were some colourful and at times strange sights to see.

But then I realised that tonight was the last night of this year’s Tattoo which was marking 75 years. Now that the larger fireworks have been stopped I have not been rushing to the attic as often but made an effort tonight. It was a clear night and I got a good display of the drones which are now used and the lower level burst of fireworks.

So take your pick. I chose the drones!
