Show time!

The North Connel Flower Show today, in the Victory Hall at Benderloch. I'd been asked to judge the Photography Section, so had to be there by 11am - the show doesn't open to the public until 2pm. My extra shows the Hall before the public was let in.

Quite a good entry, photographically, with Children's and Adult classes. Always hard to decide and as usual I wandered about during the afternoon to hear comments such as 'That's mine! I thought it was good, but it hasn't won anything!' and 'Mummy, why did that one win first prize?'

Had a brief soup lunch then drove up to Kinlochlaich Garden Centre for a plant chat with Fiona, then back to the Hall for lots more chats with lots more people. On the way home I called in to see Fay and Robin, who sold the tickets at the show, as they had kept a small plant of Begonia sutherlandii for me. They have an amazing garden, my Blip today, mostly raised beds, stuffed with plants, as was their greenhouse and kitchen! And probably the rest of the house too!

Good to get home - seem to have spent the whole day day standing up and talking!
