AC not DC

My visit to the dentist took up most of the morning - getting there and back. The time in the chair was just over an hour getting 3 extractions and preparations for 2 dental implants.

The blocks were very effective and the combination of skill, painkillers and my go-to - arnica - has meant little more than a slight ache in my jaw and obvious tenderness where the extractions and stitching took place. We’ll see how tomorrow goes. It was a fascinating experience. Now 4 months to see that everything gets anchored in the bone.

As always, one lies staring up at the ceiling. In the surgery the lights are more functional and bright but those in the reception area are much more fancy.

I went there by bus but I was not allowed to get the bus back. As I was being driven home we saw lots of, mainly, middle aged men in black jeans and black-based but colourful T shirts wandering around the Murrayfield area ahead of the AC/DC concert tonight. As with Oasis the other week we could hear the concert in our back garden 4.5 miles away. Tonight’s seemed much louder though that may have been the wind direction.

On instruction I did very little this afternoon and evening being told to rest. This evening we started Hostage on Netflix. Some daft scenarios but still good fun.

As to the lights in the picture, they operate of AC, alternating current.

PS. Thank you to all those who congratulated me on reaching 4,500 daily photos. I think 4,500 consecutive unbroken photos falls on Saturday as I missed a few days at the start but whichever milestone is used it is a lot of pictures! And a lot of fun.
