Orange Nasturtiums
The Feast Day of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux.
Born 1090, Fountaines, France.
Died 1153, Clairvaux, France.
Status : Abbot, Founder, Doctor of the Church.
St Bernard founded Clairvaux Abbey. He was their abbot for the whole of his life.
He reformed the Rule of St Benedict which had guided monastic communities for approximately 500 years.
He secured approval from the then Pope for founding the Knights Templar.
Today, here in Rishton, Blackburn, it is cold and dry with some sunshine.
It is 19.6c in the living room.
The garden is still looking beautiful and colourful, yet there are certain plants that are dying back.
The nasturtiums were quite a while starting to flower but they have continued to give a welcome orange vibrancy. Double and single Cosmos are flowering beside the Everlasting Flowers.
The bees are present and Canada Geese have flown near our house this morning.
I hope you enjoy your Wednesday.
