Phriday

Felt like some energy had returned this morning and so after lunch, walked into Hyde with Eldest. Walking along Holivey we could see that the re-terraforming of the old dye works had progressed some more, although a siesta was being taken by one of the excavators (main blip)

After Eldest had gotten the bits she wanted, we had a browse in the book exchange* where she found a couple of books on ancient Greece and her Mum here found a book of Lytham in old photos, because long lost Lion Foundry Model 23 bandstand. Within was a picture of it that Bestie has on a postcard, and a further pic we haven't seen before close up.

Energy dropping a tad, we hopped on a bus to get back uphill to home. It was one of those newfangled electric ones and really nice, what's not to like! Having not been on a service bus for quite a while, we sat on the top deck (because I insisted lol - extra)

* the book exchange in question is a fantastic social initiative run by volunteers that offers secondhand books for free, and they take donations too. The Lytham book isn't of much interest to me otherwise so will likely return it for someone else to enjoy after taking scans of the bandstand pics.
