Børselv canyon

Steinbock_Travels Day 44
Today we traveled further south, to rejoin the main road and head east. Another amazing day, v hot. Ca 30 deg C. First stop the the visitor center at Stabburstners NP, decided not to do a hike here, but carry on. We took a smaller road heading north east again, and walk along this canyon. Quite a few people swimming in it, I had no idea it was going to be this beautiful. We stopped at the only cafe on the way at Ifjord, not very good, but a couple from Geneva came, and we spent a while talking about where we’d been, and they gave us tips for Finland.
We carried on, the road conditions were very bad, the bumpiest road yet. We found a wonderful park up high above Tarnafjord, made dinner, then went for an evening hike to a little lake. It was nice until the sun went in about 21.45, then we were swarmed with midges, mosquitoes and small flies. We made a hasty retreat to the comfort of our expedition truck.
Camping at 70 degrees north.
