Coneflowers
Lots of pollinators in the gardens today. I caught this bee on some coneflowers.
I added an extra of some of the fireworks last night. There is a cafe that has a small deck overlooking the lake and I was able to squeeze onto the deck to set up my tripod. There was one other photographer there with a tripod.
Shades of covid right now. People are being told to stay home, there is a ban on any kind of travel in the woods due to the dry conditions. No walking, hiking, fishing, camping, cycling, no ATV's. So far the beaches remain open, if you have to pass thru a wooded area to get to a beach, you are allowed to walk thru. If a homeowner has woods on their property they are allowed to access them, but are not allowed to have anyone else in their woods. Here is where they have a really large gray area. Can they fine me to go on a property to work on the gardens if there are woods on the property too?
It was the same during covid. People were told to stay in the county where they lived, not unless you were working. I buy plants at nurseries outside of HRM, so based on that, I was allowed to travel because it was for work. I might have been able to buy some of the plants at nurseries within HRM, but they would have been more expensive.
The ban remains in effect until October 15 not unless we get significant rainfall before then.
