Halfway

The community of Stewiacke is halfway between the North Pole and the Equator. A theme park called Mastodon Ridge has been developed around the halfway point. I stopped there today for a short walk and to get some photos.
I am going out again tonight to see the fireworks. They are in Dartmouth tonight. Before Halifax and Dartmouth were amalgamated in the 1990's, each city had their own Natal Day celebrations. Halifax had the fireworks over the harbor on Saturday night and Dartmouth had them over Lake Banook on Monday night. This tradition continues today.
