Back on Parade

It was lovely to be back tonight at Rodney Parade, it seems such a long time since i was here watching the rugby.

Tonight was the Dragons only pre season friendly, and the hosted the mighty Bath. Pre season friendlies can be quiet affairs at times as teams chop and change their players and at times this was no different. But there were sparks of energetic life thrown into the mix. Here you can see Danny Evans going over for the Dragons try in the first half.

The two teams were evenly matched throughout the game with neither team able to pull away. Towards the end, the Dragons started to sniff a win as they slotted over a penalty near the end, but Bath replied. With 3 Dragons sin binned towards the end of the 2nd half, it looked like an inevitable loss, but the Dragons managed to slot another penalty over deep into the match and managed to keep Bath out, even though Bath had a final penalty to win the match but buggered it up.

Roll on to the Dragons and Newports first proper matches of the season.
