Come on - I’m ready to go out!
We’re off again today - to Meols. Solveig has a scan and Daniel wants to go with her, so we are looking after her. They’re also going out for lunch together.
Lili’s asleep when we arrive, so I’m rather worried about her reaction when she wakes up to find her parents gone - but she’s fine and smiles of recognition replace last week’s tears. She enjoys the lunch that I prepare and there’s relatively little mess!
Realising we’re going out, she quickly gathers her outdoor clothes together, picks up her nursery backpack and, unfortunately dummy, and stands by the door as if to say ‘Come on, I’m ready to go out! Hurry up!’
Lili has a great time in the park. She has no fear at all, climbing up the slide and walking around the higher platform, getting far closer to the edge than I am comfortable with. It becomes a game; the more I panic, the more she tests me. G is far calmer, telling me she’s fine, but I’m really not convinced!
She shares some of our ice cream (lime and fresh mint for me, birthday cake for G) before we take her home. I’m not sure who’s more tired, Lili or us - probably us!
We stay the night as tomorrow I’m going to Solveig’s Baby Shower!
My main is obviously Lili waiting, ready to go, with an extras of antics on the slide etc
