Virgin in Toon
A cloudy morning, but it cleared into a sunny day. More cloud around this evening. It was a cold wind from the north, but soon warmed to about 20⁰c when the sun appeared. Calm tonight.
Last day of the week, another day working with James on the mini essykert. We were on Lerwick business paper recycling in the morning, then a clinical waste collection. Fixing wheelie bins to finish off the day. Popped by Madeline's after work. Sammy is much better today, even managed a short walk, and wanting to sniff out the dog news information. Feet up and a quiet night ahead.
There was two big cruise ships, and one small ship in the harbour today, town was busy. It was the maiden voyage for this ship arriving today. The Virgin Voyages; Scarlet Lady, launched in 2019, a capacity of almost 3,000 passengers and over 1,000 crew, she's not the biggest we see. It looks fancy enough, but not the prettiest of ships, especially this dull morning, it was very grey looking. A busy year with cruise ships, any passengers this past month certainly have hit it lucky visiting here. The Scarlet Lady towering over the harbour, from Church Road, Lerwick.
