Scalloway Foy; Brain "Hassle" Smith

A cloudy start to the day, but soon warmed (20⁰c+) up and a sunny day and evening.  Breezy afternoon, flat calm tonight. 

A morning puttering about the house, walkies with Sammy.  Nipped into Lerwick and met mam for lunch.  An afternoon with the squad boys, and the Scalloway Foy tonight.  Popping back now and again to check on Sammy. 

A perfect day for the Scalloway Foy, a family day out fundraiser.  The Scalloway Fire Festival squads were asked to do a stall for the fundraising, we did a car wash, with people queuing up.  This evening there was a carnival parade, with plenty of spectators.  Our float was based on peerie Brian's heroic actions back on holiday, when he saved that woman in the pool, he was chuffed to see our float.  What a fun with the gang, now party the night away.   Needless to say, we all got soaked and ended up in the pool.  The squad boys on the pool themed float, Main Street, Scalloway.
