On a roll

OH is amazing and happy to do any home tasks - over the years we have built extensions and refurbs and lots of other jobs.  Our home now looks nothing like when we moved in 32 years ago!  Today was refurb job on the shed.  First built around 15/16 years ago it proved to be a great 'den' for teenagers and has seen many gatherings and parties (not sure what went on but at least they were home and not roaming the streets).  Our house was always the party house and No.2's friends still refer to the gatherings even now!  However I digress.  The decking was rotten and needs to be replaced before we tackle the roof later this month.  I suggested to OH that we take it up today and he was a bit reluctant but a few hours later, with me helping and the job was done.  BIG pile of wood for the bonfire and new decking to be ordered soon.

Showered and changed and OH went in search for a birthday present for MIL - we had seen an orchid at the garden centre earlier this week but it was a bit pricey and he managed to find the same one in M&S at half the price.  I did some sewing (successfully this time) and we decided on dinner out for a change.  Visited a lovely French restaurant in the town centre which did not disappoint.  OH chose the right thing but my salad with goats cheese and blackberries was tasty.

Home to snooze after a couple of glasses of wine.
