Finished
I did BP first thing and by the time I got home OH was busying laying the slabs by the back door. Precision and tenacity made sure they all fitted. Just enough sharp sand to finish the project but will need to order more sand for the next project. We are 'future proofing' the garden making things easier for when we get a bit older and more tired and less able!!! Hopefully a few more years yet.
Finished by lunchtime so a quick sandwich then off to the garden centre to get a few plants to fill gaps. We called into the fabric shop en route as I had spotted on the local FB page she had some remnants. I MUST stop buying - I have enough fabric to work with but I am so drawn to lovely pieces of material and envisage what I will make. Home for tea and cake and an hour on the machine - ending in frustration and annoyance that things did not go to plan. I wanted to ring Aimee to rant and for her to say 'its ok Mum - you can have another go tomorrow' ................ but have to make do with trying to hear her voice and heed her words.
