Wool Away Day…..

The lorry arrived in at 8 am to collect the 44 wool sheets. They go to the wool board place at Selkirk now to be graded and weighed. In days of old the wool cheque used to pay the herds wage for the year. Now it is most definitely a loss leader. Which is a shame for something that is natural, versatile and eco friendly.
Spent the rest of the day on the round baler baling silage. Kev on carting the bales in to the steading and wee brother on the wrapper.
Left them to it about 4 pm and went away to finish cutting another field that I started yesterday. Was home by 7pm so not too bad going.
The extra is one of a pair of chinook helicopters that flew over very low tonight. They are huge when you see them close up.
