Sologne

This afternoon we arrived at the gîte we've rented in the Sologne, to the south of Orléans and east of Blois. It is only about 2.5 hours from home, so it is nice not to travel so far to have a small holiday.

We're here for nearly a week, then Mme MB will still have 2 weeks holiday, which we're going to spend at home. We have the other house to work on during that time.
Rémy has stayed behind at home, so it is just us and Emma. When we come back, he'll be heading off to Brantôme with one of his friends.

The gîte is lovely, it is next to another smaller one, both in the owners back garden. Although there's a fence between their place and here. It is very quiet as well, being in a small village, at the end of a private track.

We will probably visit the Château de Chambord, Blois and I'd love to go and see the Renault-Matra museum.
