That's A Big Bee
Almost exactly two years ago, I last saw a hummingbird moth. After getting over thinking this was just a big bee, I realised it could be my second sighting of one.
However, on that occasion it was a hummingbird clearwing, whereas this insect turned out to be a strawberry clearwing, notably identified by black legs as opposed to pale. So, a first for me.
It was so fast, not staying on any plant long enough to capture, I employed a waiting strategy as it worked its way around the flower. Even so I only managed two shots.
