Shadows and Shapes


Have to admit to being tired today, l said yesterday we did 32 takes when in actual fact it was 72!
As promised l needed to rehearse with Ruby.
So after an easy going morning l drove over to Skipton for midday as arranged.
Just caught my daughter Rebecca and husband Mike before they left to catch the train to Leeds as they were eating at the Ivy to celebrate their 22 years wedding anniversary.
Ruby and l went to the studio and did three full run throughs ( with breaks in between). Timings have improved and it went well . I tried something new in the improvisation and felt more comfortable doing it. Ruby was happy with it too, so that’s the last bit l’ve needed to sort .
We rehearse again on Monday and in addition we will be working out what we will be saying before each section, that bit doesn’t worry me.

After rehearsal l got freshened up and changed and went to watch the show  that my dance teacher organises once a year. In previous years l’ve volunteered to help but because of other commitments this week l couldn’t. Good to see some of my Thursday ballet friends and catch up on each other’s news.
Really should be looking at my garden but it will have to wait.
