The day went downhill.

I found the bottom of the cupboard under the kitchen sink was wet when I went in for a bottle of laundry liquid I haven’t used for some time. Everything out and dried and I’ve found the source of the leak. It’s very similar to the problem 18 months ago when my plumber replaced lots of pipework.

I had a hair appointment at 12.15. I was getting ready to leave the house when there was a knock on the door and my mobile phone rang at the same time. I ignored the phone and got the garden sacks a neighbour wanted to borrow.

Half way down the hill I realised it might have been the hairdresser calling. Not my usual one as she’s on holiday. Too long a story but I got the colour, wash and cut she said she didn’t have time to do. Then I came to pay (with my phone). It’s cash only she said or can you do a bank transfer. She agreed to accept an IOU . . . and accept my word that I usually pay £30 less than she wanted to charge. It’s the same salon!

Hoping for a trouble free evening. The garden came to the rescue for a blip
