litl hikes

By litl

I had a small piece of paper with some grocery items on. These necessitated going to three shops in Kendal! Set off at 8 o’clock and was home by 10. I would have been back earlier if it wasn’t for the temporary traffic lights near the Low Wood hotel.

On the drive back I was admiring all the wild flowers on the roadside verges and this gave me an idea. The Under Loughrigg road to Rydal usually has a good show at this time of year.

I set off after lunch, took far too many photos, walked up to Rydal Hall, enjoyed a coffee plus scone with jam and got the bus home.

I intended to do a flower collage but my technology refused to co-operate so the main is my attempt at being creative and in extras the two flower photos with insects - a fly and a battered meadow brown butterfly.

Over 12,000 steps today. That’s the most for some time.
