A different day.
Grey with a few spots of rain.
We spent the morning at Peterhead Prison Museum. This was a convict prison where inmates had to undertake hard labour . Open from 1888 to 2013 it was regarded as Scotland’s Toughest Jail. We walked through the prison and listened to stories of life for both the inmates and the staff. Horrible.
The afternoon was a contrast, we visited Pitmeddon gardens. Beautiful flowers and hundreds of apple and other fruit varieties.
