A very different day after the Tall Ships.

We visited Crathes Castle in the morning, very interesting castle and an excellent garden.

After lunch we went to the Lochton of Leys Aberdeenshire Highland Cattle farm. The farmer, Grace, told her story of building a successful business breeding Highland cattle and marketing the beef direct to the public. The herd is now 300 cattle including cows from the late Queen’s Balmoral herd .
