Tiny guinea pig

Had a painful night with the leg ulcer and was awake on and off. Managed to sleep through 3 alarms but thankfully I had allowed myself plenty of time so the hours extra sleep I had didn't make much difference and I still did all the chores I needed to do before leaving the house to get a bus to Newcastle. 

Caught a train to Northallerton at 3.45pm and arrived there around 4.30pm.  Mike and Astrid met me at the station.  Mike had just collected Astrid from holiday club.

Had a nice catch up with Becky and Mike and spent a long time playing with Astrid. After she had gone to bed we blew up balloons, put some banners up and wrapped presents ready for her birthday tomorrow.  Then Mike cooked crab pasta for our evening meal.. See Extra. It was delicious.

Watched some of The Tour de France and then the end of the footie. Well done to England ladies for getting through to the final.

For Tiny Tuesday I asked Astrid to find her tiniest toy. It took some finding looking through all the toy boxes but she found it...... a tiny guinea pig.  She put it on her hand so I could take a photo.  It's not very clear as she couldn't keep her hand very still.  Thanks to JDO for hosting

My leg felt much better as the day went on and I haven't had to resort to taking any codeine. 

Might not get the chance to do any comments while I'm away.
