Living my dream

By Mima

Afternoon sun

We arrived home from town at 3.30pm and this was the view walking down the drive after closing the gate. Not bad for a Blip.

I had an appointment with wonderful Nicola the Physiotherapist at lunchtime: a review of my back issues. She was reassuring, at the same time as warning me that flare-ups are likely to happen periodically. She gave me slightly altered exercises, and recommends that on days when I'm not in the garden I should practice some pilates. She has pointed me towards a handful of (free) Youtube pilates channels for me to investigate. This is because exercise of my whole body is positive for my back. It is unerringly after wet days when I'm stuck indoors that my back goes wrong.

It was a good conversation. And after giving my body a good work out she declared me fit, strong and having nothing major to worry about.

Then we had a chat about bone density. Do I eat enough dairy, she asked? I laughed and told her about G's dairy, bartered milk, a cave full of cheese and a fridge full of bottles of milk. That led to a long chat about homemade cheese vs. shop cheese. And Nicola is now proposing barters of cheese for physio.

Result.
