Scorcher at Nordavatn
A couple of light showers first thing, they soon cleared, another lovely warm and sunny day. Clouded over by the late afternoon and evening. Windy on west, calm on the east.
Monday morning came too quick. A day working on the toon essykert with Philip and Ally. Business black bag waste around Lerwick, then moved onto residential paper recycling waste. Walkies with Sammy after work. Nipped down to mam's this evening, bagging more peats, then a cuppa. Last walkies before bed.
The damp morning was probably needed, but midgies were rife. Once the sun came out, and things warmed up quickly, the midgies soon disappeared again. Average temperature was reading around 21-23⁰c, but up here we hit 26⁰c, not sure how accurate that really was. This really has been a grand spell of weather, nearly two weeks above 20⁰c, a rarity for Shetland. Ally just back from Corfu, happy to be home in the warmth, not so much for working in it. Taken at Nordavatn, Gulberwick.
