the forecast so we could see
more rain for today

I was out the door near 7. Backing my car out I caught the chukars by surprise again. They scattered in the cul de sac launching themselves into neighbouring yards. Young ones were in the mix, so when they flew up onto a roof I managed to get a family portrait. One stalwart adult stood in the driveway looking back at me. 

I was off to Tranquille seeking some peace. A view of the wetlands pond shows its continuing to shrink. I found a Western bluebird singing in the trees near the pond. Poor shot. I can barely make out its colours. The CN freight rolled by to interrupt.

At the end of the road I found the osprey nest with three heads on show. I managed a get a shot of that and a close up of one adult. 

I'm off on errands with my daughter this morning. We will tippy-toe around all the detours and construction zones.
