Thunderstorms remain
in the forecast but I do
hope for some sunshine

We've had some rain overnight but the pavement was largely dry as I backed the car out at 5:30. The valleys are hung over with cloud. My mountains are draped this morning. 

I made a quick stop at the office, then headed up the hill to Paul Lake. 
I stopped for long shots of the hills on my way. When I got to the park entrance I found the gate locked with the sign indicating it would be locked until 7. I wasn't going to wait so I began the decent back to the city. 

I stopped for wild asters and fireweed along the roadside. I caught a Canada goose standing guard in a pond. 

I happily found some horses near the fence. It looks like the pinto has twins. 

I will be home for this inclement, damp day. My cranky feet can have the day off.
