A private garden 
invites birds, cats and other
living beings there

I had the pleasure of a visit with my friend, M, this morning about 7. It is always a treat to sit on her porch to watch the activity in her garden while we chat. 

I sat with my camera to track the hummingbirds at their feeders and the song birds at the birdbath and feeders. Her big black Fluffy came to sit on my lap. He's just a  cuddlebug. 

When M and I had solved all the world's problems I headed home for breakfast and coffee. I hope I can get out to paint with her before the summer is gone. 

I'm home with some office duties, but the day is largely mine. 

*** We did experience thunderstorm activity last evening with high winds and some rain. This morning people are cleaning up broken tree branches. We have some areas without power.
